About Tsurezure Children
Tsurezure Children is a four panel or yonkoma manga by Toshiya Wakabayashi. The series was first published in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from August 2014 to March 2015 before being transferred to Weekly Shonen Magazine as it ran from April 2015 to July 2018. The manga has been compiled into 12 tankobon volumes.
The manga tells about various romantic stories between high school students in the same school in an omnibus format. Romantic stories are somehow connected through friendships between these high schoolers. In February 2017, Tsurezure Children would later be adapted into anime by Studio Gokumi, which aired from July to September 2017.

While Studio Gokumi handled the animation, Hiraku Kaneko stepped in as the director, with the scriptwriter being Tatsuhiko Urahata and Etsuko Sumimoto as the character designer. Here are the main casts:

The anime’s opening, Ai Mai Moko, is sung by Inori Minase, while the ending, Dear, is sung by Yui Ogura. In total, the anime consists of 12 episodes. In Japan, it aired on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and BS11, while Crunchyroll broadcast the anime. Funimation then licensed the series in North America.
The anime proved to be successful and garnered positive reception. MyAnimeList gave the anime a 7.57 score, based on more than 374,000 votes, while Crunchyroll gave it 4.6 stars out of 5. Judging from the positive reception, can this anime return for the second season? It certainly is possible.
Tsurezure Children Season 2 Release Date: Speculation!
Another reason for the second season is that the first season has not covered the whole story of the Tsurezure Children universe. There are more than enough story materials from the manga to keep the anime going for over two seasons.
However, the question is whether Studio Gokumi and the anime team want to continue or not. In other words, as time passed by since the end of the anime in September 2017, there have been no talks about Tsurezure Children Season 2, let alone the exact line-up of the staff and casts.
Moreover, the anime seems to exist only to boost the Tsurezure Children’s manga sales which it served well. As the manga already ended in 2018, don’t hold your breath.

The anime’s first season only covers the first chapter of the first volume until the 81st chapter of the fifth. With 12 volumes of the manga, the anime has seven more volumes to be adapted. Let alone two seasons, the anime could have gone to the third and more seasons. However, with the assumption to boost the manga sales, don’t hold your hopes too high on the anime’s continuation.
