Outlander rarely avoided intimate scenes in its previous 6 seasons, but a sex scene from the 7th book was too much for season 7 of the Highland saga.

  • In the midst of the War of Independence, there is little room for levity and love in “Outlander” Season 7.
  • Although Jamie and Claire’s sex life is further addressed in the new episodes, we don’t get to see a hot scene from the book.

A little togetherness is all Jamie and Claire really want in Outlander. But history keeps getting in their way. In season 7, the War of Independence will provide a lot of worries and hardly a quiet minute.

Especially in the series, there is no time to take a breather; after all, the most important stages from the very extensive novels of the Highland saga have to be worked through. This ensures that some quieter, but no less exciting moments from the books cannot find a place in the series.

This is what is happening now with a sex scene from the 7th novel “Echo of Hope,” which some “Outlander” fans may have been looking forward to. In it, Claire wants to have sex with Jamie, but Jamie is not ready for it. When Claire tries to help him along, Jamie says that Claire should keep her hand to herself.

Claire agrees, on the condition that Jamie should then also give her a hand. Jamie briefly resists pleasuring himself in front of Claire, then the act takes its course and ultimately ends in lovemaking.

Anyone hoping to see this intimate moment between Jamie and Claire in season 7 of “Outlander” will now be sadly disappointed. “Outlander” producer Maril Davis revealed to TV Line that this scene was not filmed for season 7 and will probably not appear in season 8.

As an explanation, Davis cited logistical reasons, but it is more likely that there was simply no time left for the scene or that no way was found to shoot the Frasers’ private goings-on in such a way that you see nothing but still understand everything.

But don’t worry, the “Outlander” producers know their audience and will undoubtedly provide you with other juicy insights into the Frasers’ love life in season 7.
