- Since 2019, Henry Cavill has played the legendary role of Geralt of Riva in “The Witcher”.

- His successor Liam Hemsworth is to take over from season 4.
The 3rd season of “The Witcher” will appear this summer in two parts on the streaming service Netflix. Since its launch in December 2019, the fantasy series has been able to win over a great many viewers, mainly due to the strong acting performance of lead actor Henry Cavill.
That’s why his decision to leave “The Witcher” completely after 3 seasons caused a big surprise among his fans. An official reason for his exit was not mentioned at first. There were only speculations that there were differences of opinion with showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich and it could be due to his possible “toxic” behavior on the set.
With Cavill set to leave the popular Netflix series after Season 3 with a heroic send-off, his replacement Liam Hemsworth will subsequently take over as the sorcerer Geralt of Riva. So far, there is no exact info on the start of the 4th season of “The Witcher”. If Netflix stays true to its current release pattern, we can probably expect new episodes in 2025.
So Liam Hemsworth’s debut in the series will be a while coming. So if you want to see Cavill in his title role as Geralt one last time, be sure to check out Part 1 on June 29 and Part 2 of Season 3 on July 27 on Netflix!
