Is there already a trailer for The Blacklist season 10?

There is still no official trailer or footage of the new episodes of season 10. As soon as a teaser appears, you will find it here.

The Blacklist Season 10: Storyline

Two years after the death of Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) and the disbanding of the FBI task force, season 9 saw the lives of the former task force members and that of Raymond Reddington completely turned upside down.

Most recently, the team members revived their original mission and they pursued the Blacklist criminals to eliminate them for good. However, after the finale of the 9th season, Red in particular is facing a difficult time because thanks to Marvin Gerard, his position as an FBI informant became public knowledge. This juicy information will be anything but pleasant for a few members of the Blacklist, who may want to take revenge.

Also, the series departure of two long-time characters will affect the plot of the new season. Now Red and the task force team will have to regroup.

As reported by the US magazine TVLine, the upcoming 10th season will introduce MI6 intelligence officer Siya Malik. What makes this character special is that she is the daughter of Meera Malik.

Played by actress Parminder Nagra, Meera Malik was featured in almost the entire 1st season of The Blacklist. She was a CIA agent and was brought to the FBI to help in the Reddington case. In the finale, however, she was ambushed and murdered in cold blood by an assassin.

It could be that Siya is now following in her mother’s footsteps to find out more about her work and the circumstances that led to Meera’s tragic death. So far, it has not been announced who will take on the role of Meera Malik’s daughter. However, we are already excited to see if Siya Malik will be able to fill the void left by Alina Park (Laura Sohn) and Aram Mojtabai (Amir Arison).

The Blacklist Season 10: Cast and production

Since James Spader was the first to announce the continuation of “The Blacklist” in season 10 on “The Tonight Show,” it can be assumed that he will surely return in his role as Raymond “Red” Reddington in the new episodes.

Diego Klattenhoff as Donald Ressler, Harry J. Lennix as Harold Cooper and Hisham Tawfiq as Dembe Zuma are also likely to be back at the starting line, unless something else is announced to the contrary. John Eisendrath, who served as showrunner for Season 9, will likely return to his job for the new episodes as well.

However, Amir Arison, who has been with the show since season one as Aram Mojtabi, will not be returning to season 10 of “The Blacklist” as a permanent cast member. Aram is saying goodbye to the series, citing that he wants to take some time for himself. At the same time, he also wants to make some changes in his career, as he plans to make his theatrical debut on Broadway soon.

Actress Laura Sohn in her role as Alina Park also said goodbye to the series in the final episode of season 9. Park revealed during the episode that she is pregnant and that is probably where her worsening headaches came from. The character then eventually gave medical reasons as the reason for her retirement.

Nevertheless, both characters remain alive and could at least theoretically return in future episodes of “The Blacklist” in guest appearances or perhaps even permanently. Especially in the case of Arison, “The Blacklist” executives are leaving the door open and wish that the actor might return for a few special episodes.

Whether any familiar new faces will join the cast of the crime series has not yet been announced. If there is any news on this front, you will of course find it on Netzwelt.

The latest episodes of “The Blacklist” are always broadcast on the US channel NBC.
