Based on the novel “A Short History of Bohemian Spaceflight” (original title “Spaceman Of Bohemia”) by Jaroslav Kalfar, this Netflix original tells the story of astronaut Jakub Procházka, who embarks on a dangerous solo mission.
Spaceman: Start Date

Spaceman: Storyline
Jakub Procházka spent his childhood as an orphan with his grandparents in the Czech Republic. He pursued his dream of becoming an astronaut at an early age and eventually succeeded. When he receives the solo mission to fly to Venus and collect samples of ancient dust from there, he has to leave his previous life behind, including his wife. During his mission, he is joined by a creature that has been in the spaceship since the beginning of time.
Spaceman: Cast
The main role of astronaut Jakub Procházka is played by “Murder Mystery” actor Adam Sandler. He is joined in front of the camera by Carey Mulligan (“The Great Gatsby”), Paul Dano (“The Fabelmans”), Kunal Nayyar (“The Big Bang Theory”) and Isabella Rossellini.

The script for the film, which is based on the novel “A Short History of Bohemian Space Flight” by Jaroslav Kalfar, was written by Colby Day. While Johan Renck served as executive director, Channing Tatum, Reid Carolin, Peter Kiernan, Michael Parets, Tim Headington, Lia Buman and Max Silva, among others, were responsible for the production.
