Record of Ragnarok: Ring free for Jack the Ripper and Hercules
In Record of Ragnarok, humanity is to be destroyed. Thanks to the Valkyre Brünnhilde, however, instead of their immediate demise, people still get the chance to prove themselves in fair duels. If they can win the majority of the 13 battles, they will be given 1,000 more years on Earth.
The first season only showed us three fights, so ten matches are missing. Two of them could be won by the gods, one by humans. The end of the last episode already reveals who the next opponents are: The human Jack the Ripper and demigod Hercules face each other in season 2.
Who produces the new episodes is still unclear. In all likelihood, however, director Masao Ookubo (“Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun”) and Studio Graphinica (“Hello World”). The 12 episodes so far can only be streamed on Netflix.

Record of Ragnarok: Action
Record of Ragnarok is a Japanese manga series written by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui and illustrated by Ajichika. It began in Coamix’s seinen manga magazine Monthly Comic Zenon in November 2017. It was licensed in North America by Viz Media in June 2021.
The gods of the world from Greek to Norse to Hindu mythology gather every one thousand years to make one important decision: whether or not to wipe out mankind. Repulsed by humanity’s selfishness, the council unanimously votes to destroy all humans. But before the decree is enacted, Brunhilde, one of the 13 Valkyries of Valhalla, interrupts the meeting to give mankind a chance at survival.
Brunhilde proposes the idea of enacting Ragnarök, an event in which the strongest 13 mortal warriors fight against 13 gods in one-on-one matches. Although the trial is ridiculed by the gods, the demigod takes advantage of their pride and forces them into an agreement. However, Brunhilde herself must recruit the mightiest heroes throughout humanity’s thousand-year history and guide them to victory before they meet their untimely demise.
