Indiana Jones 5: theatrical release in summer 2023

“Indiana Jones 5” will now open on June 30, 2023, which is at least the U.S. release date. In this country, the theatrical release will probably be one day earlier, on June 29, 2023. Previously, the start date was announced in July 2022, but Disney had changed the schedule.
Storyline of “Indiana Jones 5”

The film is to be set in the year 1969. In this time, the great powers of the world are in the midst of the space race. The simple fact is that the moon landing program was run by a bunch of ex-Nazis.

As US magazine The Hollywood Reporter reports, the “Indiana Jones” movie opens with a scene set in 1944. Indy, who is still in his 40s at the time, is fighting Nazis in a castle. Harrison Ford will fight Nazis in Indiana Jones 5 as a digitally rejuvenated Indy.
Latest leaks and info from internal sources recently dropped a bombshell: “Indiana Jones 5” will be a time travel movie!
In addition, some behind-the-scenes footage from a filming location in Sicily has surfaced in the media. They show a group of actors dressed as Roman gladiators – so you can be curious how that fits together!
There was also a scene featuring Phoebe Waller-Bridge as Indiana’s savior. There are rumors that Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s character Helena could take over the franchise. More will be known about this after the film’s release.
Is there a trailer for “Indiana Jones 5?”
Yes, but it hasn’t been released to the public yet. It was unveiled at Disney’s D23 Expo and we expect to see the trailer in the spring of 2023.

Mads Mikkelsen, who plays the villain Voller, revealed to U.S. magazine Variety that he had been excited to play alongside Ford.
Every day of shooting felt like a real Indiana Jones movie. It felt like a return to the beginning. Everything looked like that. Harrison was wearing his [Indiana Jones] clothes. It was just a great experience.

Shia LaBeouf will not return in his role from “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.” It’s unclear what the status is for Karen Allen as Marion, John Rhys-Davies as Sallah or other stars from the older films.
Indiana Jones 5: Production and filming
Filming is set to begin in June 2021. The Pinewood Studios in England, Bamburgh Castle, North Yorkshire, the Scottish Glencoe, Biggar in South Lanarkshire as well as Glasgow hold out as filming locations. Instead of Steven Spielberg, who directed the previous “Indiana Jones” films, James Mangold takes his place in the director’s chair.
Spielberg remains “Indiana Jones 5” as a producer. He fills this post together with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall (“Jurassic World”). The screenplay is by James Mangold’s longtime writers Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth, as well as Mangold himself.
Indiana Jones 5: Film score
Legendary composer John Williams composed the score for Indiana Jones 5. Williams, who is responsible for Star Wars, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park and Jaws, among others, has already teased some of the music for the theme. Here’s the theme for Helena, played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
