Before “Guardians of the Galaxy 3” brings James Gunn’s Marvel trilogy to a close, a new trailer now shows the return of Gamora – and a flirtation between Star-Lord and Nebula?!
- For at least some Guardians, “Guardians of the Galaxy 3” will mark the end of the story.
- The new trailer for the upcoming Marvel film therefore makes no secret of dramatic scenes.
- The fact that it will still be funny is mainly due to Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord in the new scenes.
With Guardians of the Galaxy, director James Gunn turned relatively unknown Marvel characters into fan favorites, which opened numerous new career doors for Gunn. As the new head of DC Studios, he has now switched sides, but before that he will bring the “Guardians” trilogy to its conclusion.
In the new trailer for “Guardians of the Galaxy 3” it is now clear once again that we can expect not only colorful space fun, but also real drama on May 3, 2023. The trailer also finally brings back Gamora, who Star-Lord and co. have had to do without since the end of “Avengers Endgame”.
Shortly after the “Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special” at Disney+, there is another gift for Marvel fans shortly before Christmas. Surprisingly, the first trailer for the final adventure of the Guardians of the Galaxy was presented at the Brazil Comic Con and the short clip makes fans’ hearts beat faster.
The barely two-minute trailer now promises a roller coaster of emotions for the grand finale, because in the trailer we are already given a small foretaste of new abspacte beings, space action and plenty of humor. But also more profound emotions such as sadness, pain and hope will probably not come up short this time. Watch the new trailer here:
The film takes place after the events of “Thor: Love and Thunder” and will follow the familiar crew around Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Kraglin (Sean Gunn), Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Groot (Vin Diesel).
Even though the exact plot is still being kept well under wraps so far, we can already guess from the trailer that we may finally learn more about Rocket’s mysterious past. Likewise, the loss of Gamora (Zoe Saldaña) will probably play a central role.
With the film, not only the journey of Marvel fan favorites comes to an end, but we also have to say goodbye to filmmaker James Gunn soon. He is moving to the DCU competition, which means the MCU will lose one of its most creative minds.
In addition, we not only get to see Will Poulter as Adam Warlock again, but also “Peacemaker” actor Chukwudi Iwuji as the antagonist The High Evolutionary, who once performed the genetic experiments on Rocket.
Those who have not yet seen the “Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special” on Disney+ should take the time to do so before the movie opens. Here, some important elements, for example the Guardians’ new headquarters and team member Astro, are introduced for the first time.
