Preacher Season 5: Release Date, Cast, Potential Plot, and Everything You Need to Know

Welcome to the enigmatic world of Preacher Season 5,...

It was already clear that the Entertainment District Arc did not yet mean the end of the series. But when will Demon Slayer Season 3 be released?

In the second season of Demon Slayer, things really got down to business. In addition to the action-packed finale, fans were also able to look forward to an explosive announcement at the end. The animation studio Ufotable announced that it was already working on season 3 and even published a poster. Meanwhile, there is also a trailer, which we have included below.

When will Demon Slayer Season 3 be released?

It is also clear that familiar faces of production will return. Haruo Sotozaki takes over the direction, while Akira Matsushima again draws the characters. The voice actors known from the first two seasons also slip into their roles again. Only one thing is still uncertain: the start date of season 3.

Demon Slayer Season 3 Release Date

Now the release date of season 3 is finally known. As the creators of the anime series revealed on their official Twitter account, the sequel will start on Japanese TV from April 9, 2023. A new trailer provides exciting video material in advance:

Demon Slayer: First episode celebrates cinema’s premiere

The third season of Demon Slayer adapts the “Swordsmith Village” arc from the manga of the same name and is produced under the direction of Haruo Sotozaki in the studio ufotable. Akira Matsushima is once again responsible for the character design, while Yuki Kajiura is once again responsible for the background music.

Fans can watch the first episode with English subtitles in advance in the cinema. The premiere will take place on 7 March 2023 as part of a compilation film, which also includes the finale of the second season. The first episode of the third season alone should take up a running time of 60 minutes.

In his new adventure, Tanjiro travels to a village of swordsmiths to repair his destroyed weapon. Of course, he can’t avoid bloodthirsty demons and also gets to know new allies.

Demon Slayer: How does the story continue?

As we already know, the anime continues to work on its manga template. So Tanjiro, whose sword was destroyed in the Yoshiwara district, has to travel to Swordsmith Village to have it repaired. Of course, he can’t avoid bloodthirsty demons. The new plot also focuses on two characters we know from the poster, Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji, the fog and love pillar of the Demon Slayer troupe.

Fans can expect a quieter, but no less exciting adventure. If you can’t muster enough patience for the series, you already have the opportunity to find out how it will continue by reading the manga.

Demon Slayer: Action

Ever since the death of his father, the burden of supporting the family has fallen upon Tanjirou Kamado’s shoulders. Though living impoverished on a remote mountain, the Kamado family are able to enjoy a relatively peaceful and happy life. One day, Tanjirou decides to go down to the local village to make a little money selling charcoal. On his way back, night falls, forcing Tanjirou to take shelter in the house of a strange man, who warns him of the existence of flesh-eating demons that lurk in the woods at night.

When he finally arrives back home the next day, he is met with a horrifying sight—his whole family has been slaughtered. Worse still, the sole survivor is his sister Nezuko, who has been turned into a bloodthirsty demon. Consumed by rage and hatred, Tanjirou swears to avenge his family and stay by his only remaining sibling. Alongside the mysterious group calling themselves the Demon Slayer Corps, Tanjirou will do whatever it takes to slay the demons and protect the remnants of his beloved sister’s humanity.
