On the official Twitter account of “Chainsaw Man” the start date of the second part of the popular series was revealed today. According to this, the “School Arc” will start on July 13, 2022 in Japan. The chapters will be released in the “Shonen Jump+” app and will also be available to read simultaneously on MANGA Plus.
Chainsaw Man: Manga available in English
Creator Tatsuki Fujimoto published the first part of “Chainsaw Man” in the Shukan Shonen Jump magazine of Shueisha’s between December 2018 and December 2020. The “Public Safety Arc” covered consists of 97 chapters, which were released in paperback in eleven volumes.
The English-language publication of “Chainsaw Man” took place between January 2019 and December 2020.
An anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man is currently being created under the direction of director Ryu Nakayama at Studio MAPPA. The series is scheduled to start this year and will be available in English on Crunchyroll in the original language with English subtitles as well as with an English language version in the simulcast.
As of June 2022, the manga had over 13 million copies in circulation. In 2021, it won the 66th Shogakukan Manga Award in the shonen category, as well as the Harvey Awards in the Best Manga category. Chainsaw Man has been overall well received by critics, who have commended its storytelling and characters, and have particularly highlighted its violent scenes within the context of the story.
