The “And Just Like That…” remake of the original “Sex and the City” advanced to great success. Now US streamer HBO Max names the release date and Sky published the matching poster for the sequel.
And Just Like That… Season 2: Release Date
On June 22, 2023, “And Just Like That…” releases with two new episodes. After that, there will be a new episode every Thursday. In the U.S., the streaming service Max (formerly: HBO Max) shows the series.
And Just Like That… Season 2: Trailer shows love comeback
In February 2023, lead actress Sarah Jessica Parker shared a promising photo via Instagram that had fans in an uproar. In the photos, we see Carrie tightly embraced while kissing with her ex Aidan.
The new trailer shows the long-awaited love comeback of the two characters by fans. Aidan is back!
The video shows the colorful life of the protagonists, how they act in their everyday life. It’s about shoes, men, sex, children and love.
And Just Like That… Season 2: Plot
In the finale of “And Just Like That…” Season 1, a passionate kiss occurs between Carrie and the producer of her new podcast. Franklyn (Ivan Hernandez) has been under Carrie’s nose the whole time, but first she had to take time to process the loss of the love of her life, Mr. Big. In season two, she has passionate “I’m processing my grief” sex with him. It’s just sex. Or is there more to it?
Miranda and Che are still together. However, it is unclear from the new trailer if Miranda moved to Los Angeles to support Che. Miranda ended her marriage to Steve – to the displeasure of fans. Miranda even has her hair dyed again at the end of the season. In And Just Like That… Season 2 we will see how their new relationship develops.
Charlotte has to learn in season 1 that she can’t control everything. Especially not her daughters. Because Rose now comes out as transsexual and wants to be called Rock from now on, Charlotte takes calmly and supports her daughter. In the trailer for And Just Like That… Season 2, however, Lilly announces that she feels ready to lose her virginity. Always trouble with teenagers.
In the video for And Just Like That… Season 2, we see the ladies dining in restaurants as usual and talking about their lives. New and old friends are shown, as well as the protagonists’ shoes and fancy stylings.
In addition, there is a renewed meeting of Carrie and Vogue editor Enid Frick (Candice Bergen), who already appeared in “Sex and the City”. At the time, Enid wanted to hire Carrie as a model for an article called “The Last Single Girl” for a bridal issue of Vogue, just before her wedding to Mr. Big.
Carrie also expects to meet feminist Gloria Steinem and pop starlet Sam Smith. In addition, showrunner Michael Patrick King promises that they have taken the criticism of Season 1 to heart, and we can expect “more sex and more city” in the new episodes (via TVLine).

And Just Like That… Season 2: Cast
For And Just Like That… Season 2, all of the previous actors and actresses return, with the exception of Chris Noth (“The Equalizer,” “Law & Order”) as Mr. Big. Big had died in season 1 and Noth’s appearance in the season finale was cancelled due to the allegations against him.
Cast members Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon (“The Gilded Age,” “Ratched”) as Miranda Hobbes and Kristin Davis (“Melrose Place”) as Charlotte York will be seen again.
Also returning are Sara Ramírez (“Grey’s Anatomy”) as Che Diaz, Nicole Ari Parker (“Chicago P.D.”) as Lisa Todd Wexley, Mario Cantone as Anthony Marentino and Evan Handler (“American Crime Story”) as Harry Goldenblatt.
Brand new to the cast is expected to be actor Tony Danza (“Who’s the Boss?”), according to online magazine Deadline. Danza will play himself in a recurring guest role, as in the last episode Miranda’s love interest Che had already announced he was moving to Los Angeles for a project, in which Danza will then probably really play Che’s father.
Fan favorite John Corbett returns in season two as Aidan. Aidan represents a character from the original series who, along with Big, was Carrie’s second great love. They dated for an extended period of time and were even engaged after proposing in season four – until Carrie found out he had a wife and child.
In the newly released photos, Carrie and Aidan look pretty familiar. Who knows, maybe he divorced his wife or she lost her life in a tragic accident. The exact circumstances are not yet known, but it is certain that John Corbett will make one or two fans’ hearts beat faster with his return.
Guest stars of the new season are feminism icon Gloria Steinem and pop star Sam Smith. Both will play themselves.
