American Horror Story Season 12 in the stream: Where does the new season appear?
Previously, all seasons were available on Netflix and the latest season appeared on the popular streaming platform not too long after its US premiere. Since the series has since migrated from Netflix to Disney+, it is very likely that the new episodes will also appear there.
Unfortunately, “American Horror Story” is no longer available on Netflix, but many other super horror series are, which we present to you in the video:
American Horror Story Season 12 Cast: Who’s in it this time?
The official “AHS” Twitter account had a completely unexpected surprise ready on April 10: Apparently reality star Kim Kardashian will be part of the cast in “American Horror Story” season 12. Kim K. herself posted the first teaser trailer on her profile, which was then also shared by the “AHS” channel.
Whatever you think of Kim Kardashian, the inclusion of one of the most followed people on social media should guarantee a lot of attention for season 12 of “American Horror Story”. And the series could do with that, after the ratings of the last few seasons unfortunately failed to catch up with the success of the first few years.
Kardashian joins the illustrious ranks of stars who have already played roles in “AHS: Megastar Lady Gaga and Stevie Nicks, singer of the 70s cult band “Fleetwood Mac,” have also already paid their respects. Nicks appeared as herself in season 3 (“Coven”) and season 8 (“Apocalypse”), while Gaga took on the role of the vampiric Countess Elizabeth in season 5 (“Hotel”) and the head witch Scáthach in season 6 (“Roanoke”).
And yet another cast member for season 12 of “American Horror Story” has already been revealed in the teaser: You can also look forward to Emma Roberts again in the next “AHS” season. The niece of Julia Roberts is already part of the permanent cast of “American Horror Story”: She made her debut as narcissistic Hollywood star Madison Montgomery in season 3 (“Coven”), as which she also returned in season 8 (“Apocalypse”). In season 4 (“Freak Show”) she was seen as con artist Maggie Esmeralda, and in season 7 (“Cult”) as news anchor Serena Belinda. In addition, at the end of April 2023, it was announced that model and actress Cara Delevingne (“Carnival Row”) will also join the cast of “American Horror Story” season 12.
In addition to Kardashian and Roberts, newcomer Matt Czuchry is also confirmed as part of the cast of “American Horror Story” Season 12.
Whether more beloved “serial offenders” from past “AHS” seasons will be part of the cast is unfortunately not yet known. American Horror Story Season 12: Trailer already available?
A trailer for “American Horror Story” season 12 is unfortunately not yet available, but in the teaser above there was at least already a little taste of the new “AHS” season. In the meantime, you can find out how the individual seasons in the “AHS” universe are connected with our video:
Plot of American Horror Story Season 12: What could it be about?
After 11 seasons, many classic horror themes have already been explored: Ghosts, witches, demons, aliens, creepy clowns, fanatical cults, serial killers and even the Antichrist himself have already been at work in the course of the anthology. But through the above teaser, the new theme can at least be guessed and also to the template of the new season is now known quite a bit.
A distorted lullaby from the music box and children’s laughter accompanied by ominous sounds strongly suggest in the teaser that the new season will focus on the theme of children and family – of course from a horror perspective. The combination of childlike innocence and diabolical evil is always good for goose bumps. So it could be exciting, especially since the theme of Satan’s brat has a long tradition in horror films, especially in classics like “The Omen”, “Village of the Damned” or “Children of the Wrath”.
Or, of course, in “Rosemary’s Baby,” and that’s what Season 12 of “American Horror Story” will probably lean on the most: As “The Hollywood Reporter” reports, the new season will be based in part on Danielle Valentine’s novel “Delicate Condition,” which won’t be released until August 2023. According to author Andrea Bartz’s blurb, “Delicate Condition” provides “the feminist update on ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ that we all need.” Even the season title makes a strong reference to the novel: the twelfth season of “American Horror Story” will be called “Delicate.”
If you want to get your hands on the novel for the new “AHS” season, you can already pre-order it from Amazon – but currently only in English:
According to the author’s website, the novel actually sounds like a modernized retelling of the story of the cult horror film based on Ira Levin’s novel of the same name, expanding it to include the horror of the unfulfilled desire to have children, which is very real for many women. The vulnerability inherent in the state of pregnancy could also provide another layer of terror. We can be curious to see how this will be implemented in “American Horror Story” Season 12.
