Winter Bathroom Remodel Costs in Kent, WA: What to Expect

Your bathroom is an important room in your home....

Bruce Campbell is one of the great icons of the horror genre. But the latest “Evil Dead” film unfortunately has to do without him. Instead, he tells you what you can expect from the shocker.

Evil Dead Rise Trailer

We last saw him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) thanks to “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”. But we probably won’t see Bruce Campbell on the big screen anytime soon, as he is currently touring the United States for his live show “Bruce-O-Rama” and wants to publish another book.

However, in a conversation with Alex DiVincenzo of Bloody Disgusting, Bruce Campbell has now said a few words about “Evil Dead Rise”, the latest spin-off of the horror franchise. Together with Sam Raimi, who directed the first three films in the series, Campbell serves as producer on the new spectacle. The 64-year-old actor explained:

“[Director] Lee Cronin has done a really great job. You can expect to be very disturbed. That’s when mommies get mad. We took the movie out of the woods. We’re in an urban setting, which gives it a really creepy feel. I think people are going to be in for a hubbub. I feel bad for the audience already!”

Bruce Campbell then compared the tone of the new film to Fede Álvarez’s 2013 “Evil Dead” remake:

“Both filmmakers are equally capable personalities, so they both really f**k you up. It’s not a yuk-fest. It’s not a Hardy-Har-Har. It’s not Ash shooting finger guns. It’s real shit going down. These guys really took it seriously. Lee Cronin is Irish and he brings a kind of European flair to the whole thing.”

In addition to “Evil Dead Rise,” you can expect a few other horror highlights this year.

The actor also explained that he spent a month and a half in Europe to be present during post-production. He especially enjoys the freedom that you have as a producer to make certain decisions that, in his opinion, you are often denied as an actor. Moreover, he praised the effects we get to see in the sinister horror flick with an obvious euphoria:

“As long as I live, no one will ever be able to make fun of the special effects of ‘Evil Dead’ again. They used to love to do that: cheeseball effects, garden hoses spewing stuff. Now, you know what? Eat this […], because this is good stuff you’re about to see!”

What kind of gory horror fest you can ultimately expect in “Evil Dead Rise” will be yours to gawk at on the big screen starting April 20, 2023. If you want to watch the 2013 remake in advance, you can buy and rent “Evil Dead” on Amazon Prime Video. If you want to see Bruce Campbell again, you can also buy or rent all three seasons of the spin-off series “Ash vs. Evil Dead” from the streaming provider.
