Despite massive criticism of the series, Netflix has ordered a 2nd season of Record of Ragnarok. In it, humanity must once again prove itself against powerful gods.

After a sacred meeting, the gods come to the decision that man must die out. However, The Valkyrie Brunhilde proposes to give humanity one last chance and prove its worth in a tournament. If the strongest human fighters manage to beat the gods, their species will be spared. This is the starting point of Netflix’s new anime series Record of Ragnarok, the first season of which was released in June 2021.

In the 12 episodes so far, there have already been exciting duels between fighters such as Adam and Zeus or Jack the Ripper and Hercules. A Record of Ragnarok’s 2nd season should now show more battles, as the streaming service recently confirmed via Twitter.

Record of Ragnarok: Fans hope for better animation quality

Since the first season was not visually appealing to many fans, they have one wish in particular for the sequel: Better animations. Understandable if you take a look at various scenes from the series, which give the impression that several pictures have been randomly strung together:

Nevertheless, according to Netflix (Spriggan), Record of Ragnarok is said to have met with an “Overwhelming response from all over the world”. When the new episodes will be launched, the streaming provider has not yet revealed. Since the popularity of the action anime seems to be high, we should not have to wait too long.
