This Western epic spans entire generations. After “Yellowstone” and “1883”, “1923” with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren is now officially launching here at Paramount+.
- “1923” will finally celebrate its official premiere on May 27 on Paramount+.
- The series is a spin-off to the Western dramas “Yellowstone” and “1883” from “Sicario” writer Taylor Sheridan.
- “1923” stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren as the Dutton couple.
From the five seasons of the neo-Western drama “Yellowstone” with Kevin Costner, to the prequel series “1883,” which brought a surprisingly premature end after ten episodes, to the follow-up project “1923” with Harrison Ford (“Star Wars,” “Indiana Jones“) and Helen Mirren (“Fast & Furious“) – Hollywood author Taylor Sheridan is treading a long path with his cross-generational Western epic at Paramount+, and it’s not over yet.
1923: The fight for survival
After the tragic and abrupt ending of the “Yellowstone” prequel “1883” caused a furor, the story of the Dutton family continues in “1923.” The U.S. audience once again had the preference and was already allowed to accompany Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren as Jacob and Cara Dutton from December 2022. So in “1923” the Duttons have to fight for their land with an economic depression, a great drought and rival ranchers.
“1923” launches with the first season on Paramount+. There are a total of eight episodes of the Western drama series. But in contrast to “1883,” Taylor Sheridan does not see the story of “1923” as being finished with just one season. A second season for “1923” has already been officially confirmed.
