The 4th season of the Netflix thriller You – You Will Love Me started at the beginning of February. However, the five currently available episodes only tell half of the story. Immediately following Part 1, Netflix is running a short teaser that offers a taste of Joe Goldberg’s (Penn Badgley) fate in the second half. The new, long trailer is much more detailed. We explain what you can expect from You season 4, part. The new episodes are coming as early as next week.
When will You Season 4 Part 2 come to Netflix?
The remaining five episodes of the season will start on March 9, 2023 on Netflix. That’s when the series will resolve its big cliffhanger.
You Season 4 Part 2 Trailer
Story: What’s next for You Season 4, Part 2?
In season 4, Joe is drawn to London. London? That’s right, the last scene of season 4 actually sent the stalker to Paris, where his new love Marienne was hiding. He didn’t last long there. In London, Joe mingles with the intellectual class as Professor Jonathan Moore. His speciality: is English literature, of course. In the British metropolis, Joe meets killer competition.
The trailer for Part 2 sets in immediately after the end of Part 1. These are the most important details:
- We see the new dynamic between Joe and Rhys (Ed Speleers), who in a twist is revealed to be the so-called Eat the Rich killer. A reluctant relationship develops between Joe and Rhys. The two men share a passion for each other (killing.) Showrunner Sera Gamble says, in Part 2, the series evolves into a “serial killer buddy movie”
- Joe’s favorite student Nadia (Amy-Leigh Hickman) finds herself in danger, feeling stalked. Thus, she meets the typical fate of Joe’s protector-objects
- Between Joe and Kate (Charlotte Ritchie) a relationship seems to develop (or is that just his wishful thinking?).
But the most important scene comes at the end.
Big surprise in the second part of You: Love returns
Victoria Pedretti played Joe’s supposed great love Love for two seasons. At the end of season 2, she turns out to be a murderous psychopath. In season 3, this killer-killer constellation blossoms into a wild duel that ends with Love’s death at the hands of Joe.
Nevertheless, the character reappears in the new trailer, however, most likely only as a vision/hallucination/dream figure/symbolic embodiment of Joe’s guilty conscience. The grey colour scheme of the scene and the infamous glass box that Joe didn’t bring with him to London (as far as we know) speaks for that. Still, Love’s return is, of course, a gift for fans.
