Nyad: Storyline
At the age of 64, long-distance swimmer Diana wants to fulfill her dream of becoming the first person to cover the seemingly impossible distance of 177 kilometers between Cuba and Florida. This means she will be exposed to every conceivable risk during her 53-hour open-ocean swimming marathon without a shark cage. Together with her trainer and friend Bonnie, however, she intends to reach her goal.
Nyad: Cast
The lead role of long-distance swimmer Diana is played by two-time Golden Globe Award winner Annette Bening (“The Kids Are All Right,” “Captain Marvel”). Oscar winner Jodie Foster (“The Silence of the Lambs,” “Flightplan – Without a Trace”) will be seen in the role of Diana’s coach and longtime friend Bonnie Stoll. Also in front of the camera will be Rhys Ifans (“Berlin Station”), Ethan Jones Romero, Luke Cosgrove, Jeena Yi and Eric T. Miller.
