Season 2 of the anime series Made in Abyss is just around the corner. At the beginning of July, we can plunge into the new adventure.
Made in Abyss Season 2 Release Date
With the bulky title “Made in Abyss: The Sun Blazes Upon the Golden City”, the 2nd season of the successful fantasy series will soon start. To be precise, the new episodes will be released on July 6, 2022. The makers announced this, among other things, via Twitter and published another trailer.
Season 2 continues to follow the plot of the original manga*. Riko, Reg and Nanachi continue their journey into the abyss of the Abyss. On their adventure, they meet many creatures that look exactly like Reg as well as a princess who seems to know important clues to Reg’s origins. There, the trio also learns more about the inhabitants of the abyss and how they were able to build a civilization in such a deadly place.

The release date of the new episodes applies to Japanese television. The first season can be seen on Amazon as well as on Netflix and even Apple TV.
Made in Abyss: First video game to be released in September

Made in Abyss Season 2: Plot
Continuing their perilous descent down the Abyss, Riko, Regu, and newfound friend Nanachi reach the Abyss’ fifth layer, The Sea of Corpses. Upon arriving at the research station known as Idofront, the main trio encounter the mysterious Prushka, the alleged daughter of Bondrewd, who leads them to the White Whistle responsible for Nanachi’s dark past. Despite the welcoming appearances of Idofront’s residents, Nanachi warns the young adventurers that things are not always what they seem. With the only route to the sixth layer shrouded in mystery and Bonedrewd’s schemes awaiting them, what sacrifices must be made in order to continue the journey down to the bottom of the Abyss?
