Kazuma chooses Aqua herself as his companion on this journey, and the two find new friends, a mage and a crusader, as they embark on their afterlife adventures.
The original light novel series of KonoSuba is written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima, and has sold over 6 million copies worldwide. The manga adaptation of KonoSuba began serialization in September 2014 in the magazine Monthly Dragon Age. There are also multiple manga adaptations and spin-offs, such as KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!, which is being adapted into an anime.
The first two seasons of the KonoSuba anime are animated by Studio DEEN and directed by Takaomi Kanasaki, who is known for his work on Is This A Zombie? and School Rumble: 2nd Semester. Animation Studio Change

Changes in Staff
Takaomi Kanasaki, the director of the previous seasons, will serve as the chief director for the new season. The new series director is Yujiro Abe, who has previously worked as an episode director for the series Kaguya-sama: Love is War.
Makoto Uezu will return for the series composition, and Koichi Kikuta will be back as the series character designer. Fans can expect the same staff to work on the spin-off series as well.
