Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2: When does start on Netflix?

With “Fate: The Winx Saga,” Netflix is adapting the animated series “Winx Club,” but striking a much more adult and dark tone. And apparently with some success, the series is well received by both US and international audiences.

Those who have already seen the series, which is relatively short with only six episodes, understandably want to know when there will be more “Fate: The Winx Saga” on Netflix. We therefore collect all information about the start of the 2nd season on the streaming service. In addition, we report here on already released trailers and give a first preview of how it will continue in season 2 and which characters could appear again in the sequel.

Spoiler Alert: In the following text, we will go into detail about what has happened so far in the fantasy series “Fate: The Winx Saga”. In addition, the article may already anticipate plots of the 2nd season. If you want to watch the series spoiler-free, you should read this article only after the last episode of season 1. Instead, we recommend taking a look at the current Netflix news until then.

Meanwhile, Netflix has officially come forward to launch a 2nd season of the series. After the production of an eight-part sequel started in 2021, there is now also a sign of life in the form of a first trailer for the 2nd season.

Already in advance, the signs were good that the Winx series will go into at least one more round. On the one hand, the success of the series with the audience spoke for this, because “Fate: The Winx Saga” could secure the first place in the Netflix series top 10 only one day after release.

On the other hand, the usually well-informed site “What’s On Netflix” already reported in June 2020 about a planned 2nd season of the fantasy series. And the eight seasons of the animated original certainly offered enough material for a sequel.

When exactly “Fate: The Winx Saga” will continue is not yet known. However, according to the recently released trailer, we can expect new episodes “soon”.

Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2: What happens in season 2?

The end of Season 1 surprised with some unexpected twists. For instance, it turned out that Bloom carries the over thousand year old firepower of the Dragon Flame. However, this ancient and powerful weapon is only the tip of the iceberg, as Bloom actress Abigail Cowen revealed in an interview with The Wrap. In our opinion, season 2 will therefore revolve around mastering the new power and Bloom’s development after its discovery.

Of course, there is also the conflict with Rosalind and the new teachers in Alfea. After Rosalind killed her former student Ms. Dowling at the end of the season, she is clearly placed as the young fairies’ antagonist with Queen Luna.

Furthermore, there will probably be a conflict with Sky, who is between the fronts after the surprising return of his father Andreas. For whom will the specialist decide?

Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2: Who will play?

In the sequel, a large part of the previous cast will probably appear again. For one, there are the young fairy friends Bloom (Abigail Cowen), Stella (Hannah van der Westhuysen), Aisha (Precious Mustapha), Terra (Eliot Salt) and Musa (Elisha Applebaum), whom we consider all set in season 2, as well as Beatrix (Sadie Soverall). Specialists Sky (Danny Griffin), Riven (Freddie Thorp) and Dane (Theo Graham) are also very likely to return.

On the opposite side, of course, Rosalind (Lesley Sharp) is first and foremost, but also Queen Luna (Kate Fleetwood) and Sky’s father Andreas (Ken Duken).

Whether it comes to a renewed reunion with Ms. Dowling (Eve Best) is unclear after the end of the 1st season.

In addition, some newcomers have been cast for the 2nd season in the meantime:

  • Paulina Chavez (The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia) as Flora
  • Eanna Hardwicke (Vivarium) as Sebastian
  • Brandon Grace as Grey
