Elon Musk is not only extremely rich, but also quite busy. As CEO of several companies, he likes to express himself publicly, not infrequently with controversial theses. We summarize what he has been up to in the last 24 hours.
Elon Musk: What the billionaire has been up to lately
As the new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk‘s workday has become a bit busier once again. The consequences of the takeover, for which he put a total of 44 billion US dollars on the table, are already being felt by the platform’s users – and also by the workforce.
Musk has dissolved Twitter’s board of directors. The billionaire is thus all alone at the helm of the platform, according to a statement to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Previously, nine directors were part of the board of directors, which has – or rather had – an important control function as a mixture of executive board and supervisory board.
In his Twitter profile, he now refers to himself as the “Twitter Complaint Hotline Operator.” He has also indulged himself with a new picture, in which the young Elon can be seen talking on the phone.
It is not yet clear which previously blocked users will be unblocked by Musk. There is speculation about whether former U.S. President Trump could return. Musk jokes that Twitter would be rolling in money if he received a dollar for every question about Trump.
More money could also come from the Twitter Blue subscription, which reportedly costs $19.99 a month. The blue verification hook is said to become part of the package (source: The Verge).
Musk: Should Vine come back?
Another return of a completely different nature could also be in the offing: The almost forgotten video platform Vine has apparently left lasting memories with Musk. On Twitter, he asks his users whether he should bring Vine back. More than two-thirds agree.
