Before the third season starts, fans of Dr. Stone can look forward to a bonus episode. Now we also know when the anime special will be released.

Dr. Stone has been proving how interesting science can be for almost three years. The anime, which is based on the manga* of the same name* by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi, comprises two seasons with 35 episodes. The third season has long been announced, but before that there is still an exclusive bonus episode to watch.

Dr. Stone anime special release Date revealed

An official Twitter account has now announced that the new special episode titled “Dr. Stone: Ryusui” will be broadcast on Japanese television on July 10. Unsurprisingly, Crunchyroll grabs the rights. After all, the streaming provider already has the first two seasons in the catalog.

The approximately one-hour special is set after the second season and focuses on the eponymous character Ryusui, who is known as a capable sailor. The production is once again the responsibility of the studio TMS Entertainment, where Shuuhei Matsushita (DEEMO: Memorial Keys) takes over the direction.

At the same time, the makers are already working on the third season of the anime hit. This is to be published in the course of next year. A concrete start date is still pending. However, it is already certain that Crunchyroll is responsible for the Worldwide streaming.
