Alice in Borderland Season 2 Release Date: When will it be released?
In the meantime, we know that “Alice in Borderland” is going into a second round. The Instagram account for the series posted a short video, in which they announced the 2nd season.
As part of Netflix’s TUDUM Event 2022, it was announced that the second season of the live-action adaptation of “Alice in Borderland” (jap.: “Imawa no Kuni no Alice”) will be available on demand worldwide on Netflix starting December 22, 2022. You can find a new teaser below.
Several factors supported the continuation of “Alice in Borderland” even before the announcement. On the one hand, season 1 left us with many unanswered questions that would have to be clarified by a sequel. In addition, the series seemed to generate quite a bit of interest among the audience: “Alice in Borderland” lined up in the Netflix series top 10 shortly after its release and was able to defend its place there for a longer time.
Also, the manga of the same name on which the series is based currently has 87 chapters. The end of the first season coincides with 31 chapters of the original. So there was already enough material for at least one or two more seasons.
According to trailer material and Netflix, we can expect the release of a second season in December 2022.

Currently, we can only speculate about the plot of the Alice in Borderland season 2. After Arisu collected all the number of cards at the end of Season 1, a new phase of the game now seems to be starting. In all likelihood, the previously missing picture cards will now appear for the first time – according to the game’s rules, these would have to be particularly difficult and deadly challenges.
While the participants trapped in the world continue to fight for visas that are essential for survival, Alice in Borderland season 2 will probably also revolve around the search for the Game Masters who are behind the game.

The second season of “Alice in Borderland” is being directed by Shinsuke Sato (“Bleach” live-action) at studio Robot Communications. Sato is also co-writing the script with Yoshiki Watabe and Yasuko Kuramitsu. Yutaka Yamada (“Tokyo Ghoul”) is composing the music.
In the sequel, Kento Yamazaki (“Death Note” live-action) again embodies Ryouhei Arisu, while Tao Tsuchiya (“Orange” live-action) once again takes on the role of Yuzuha Usagi.
