Despite critical acclaim and a number of awards, however, the baseball series has probably not proven to be a streaming success and will now allegedly be canceled after only the 2nd season. In addition, there are rumors that Amazon has also decided to drastically shorten the sequel and produce only 4 final episodes.

More than half a year has passed since “A League of Their Own” launched in the Amazon Prime Video program and still there has been no official confirmation from the streamer whether the series will continue or has been quietly canceled.
According to the US online magazine The Hollywood Reporter, however, Amazon has now decided that there will very well be a continuation of the series. However, according to rumors, this will not only be a lot shorter, with just 4 episodes, but also the last at the same time.
That this statement is not yet set in stone, however, was now emphasized by series creator Will Graham via Twitter persistently. In a tweet, Graham writes that the news about a cancellation after season 2 is by no means official. At the same time, he calls on fans to make their voices heard and demand more episodes and more seasons as loudly as possible.
