The theatrical release of “John Wick: Chapter 4″ is just around the corner. What the fourth adventure of the titular action hero promises, reveal the first reactions.
Magnificently choreographed fights, a surreal world of contract killers, stylish glossy visuals, and snappy tracks: the “John Wick” series has delivered one action feast after the next over the past nine years. According to initial reactions, “John Wick: Chapter 4” is not only the longest, but probably also the best spin-off of the series.
After “John Wick: Chapter 4” was postponed several times, the return of the gracefully acting assassin finally awaits us this month. Last Monday evening, some viewers were able to enjoy director Chad Stahelski’s latest work and share their opinions on social networks after the premiere in London. Most of them were quite enthusiastic and even praised “John Wick: Chapter 4” as the best part of the series:
“I had reservations about the nearly three-hour running time of ‘John Wick: Chapter 4,’ but the film deserves them. It’s an epic with intelligent pacing that never lets the action get tiring, and the scenes are phenomenal. Great cast of newcomers to the series, but Donnie Yen is the most valuable.”
“One of the best action movies ever, ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ trumps all three predecessors in terms of storytelling, scope and stakes, quite a few amazing scenes, hard to imagine it all being contained in one movie, Bill Skarsgård is superb, an insanely exciting franchise finale (?) 9.5/10.”
