Nancy Grace Argues that Jon Gosselin Needs to Stop Arguing

By Shane Craver on October 8, 2009

In nothing short of an on air breakdown, legal commentator Nancy Grace berated television father, Jon Gosselin earlier this week about his need to stop arguing with his wife Kate Gosselin and to "work on their marriage."

When Jon Gosselin appeared on the show, The Insider, the former prosecutor Grace, sunk her teeth into the soft and demur father of eight and even took the opportunity to beat up Gosselin's lawyer, Mark Heller, who accompanied him by braying, "You got your lawyer here, you're afraid to answer questions. Whatever."

Grace, known as tough questioner has been a lifelong advocate of victim's rights. As a special prosecutor in Atlanta for a decade, Grace focused on cases involving serial murder, rape, and child molestation. It's a likely scenario that Grace sees a victim in the Gosselin family's struggles, be it Kate or the children, giving her fuel to be especially antagonistic toward Jon in the interview.

However, like Kate Gosselin, Nancy Grace also has a flair for media and has been accused of embellishing stories to better support her image. In 1979, Grace's college fiancé, Keith Griffin, was murdered by his co-worker. Years later, Grace wrote about her experience in her book, Objection, but in 2006, the New York Observer covered the story and found that Grace's facts did not mesh with the truth.

When confronted with the story, Grace responded,

"I feel we have X amount of time on Earth, and that when we give in to our detractors or spend needless time on silly fights, I think that's abusing the chance we have to do something good."

While Nancy Grace enjoys playing the role of the detractor, she's understandably uncomfortable dealing with personal accusations. Jon Gosselin could take a cue from Grace's own words and not give in to his detractors.

I don't know who's worse. Nancy Grace or Kate Gosselin. No, wait, it's Kate.

I'll take Kate, at least she's a bit better looking than Grace.

Poor Kate. She needs to hire Nancy Grace to represent her in the divorce.
